DIBRUGARH, July 16: The 10-day workshop on Sanskrit language organised by RSS, Dibrugarh at BL Beria Saraswati Sishu Mandir concluded on Saturday. The workshop proved to be beneficial for a total of 54 students who participated in the program, led by Sanskrit teacher Jonti Borah.
The inauguration of the workshop took place on July 6, with Dr Sreemanta Madhab Baruah, jila sanghchalak, gracing the event. In his address, Dr Baruah highlighted the significance of Sanskrit language. He stated, “Sanskrit language is the ancient language of India, once spoken by the majority of people. However, due to the influence of various other languages, it gradually lost its prevalence. Through this workshop, students will benefit in the days to come. Sanskrit is the mother of all languages, and we should create awareness about this language among the youth.”
Subhas Joshi, vibhag pracharak, also expressed the importance of learning Sanskrit. He highlighted its connection to culture, tradition, and religion, stating, “Sanskrit is an ancient language that was predominantly spoken in ancient India. Our civilisation has a rich heritage where Sanskrit played a vital role in communication. It is crucial for every parent to teach Sanskrit to their children.”
