Sangbidhan Gaurav Divas observed

SIVASAGAR, Jan 24: Bharatiya Janata Party, Sivasagar district committee in association with BJP SC Morcha observed Sangbidhan Gaurav Divas at the Bhupen Hazarika Memorial Mancha on Friday in Akhoifutia near here.

Bitopan Raidangia, the new district president, hoisted the flag and spoke on the importance of the day. He said that the Congress during 75 years of their rule did not show any respect to Ambedkar in contrast to BJP.

It was BJP in 1990 that honoured the framers of the Indian Constitution with Bharat Ratna award.

The meeting was attended by former MLA of Titabar constituency and former district president of Jorhat district Hemant Kalita. He spoke about the work done by Bharatiya Janata Party and the BJP-led Union Government to protect the Constitution of India and ensure that the people enjoy their fundamental rights under every article of the Constitution.  

The meeting was attended by former MLA of Thawra constituency Kushal Duwori, Dipika Duwori,Mrinalini Konwar, Samir Gogoi, Mridusmita Sinha and other BJP workers.
