Sivasagar student selected for IRRI training in Philippines

SIVASAGAR, Aug 31: Jennifer Minhaz, a seventh-semester student of Dhubri Sarat Chandra Singha Agriculture College and the daughter of Minhazur Islam Akhter and Jinnat Ara Begum from Amguri Gaon, Sivasagar, has achieved a remarkable feat. She has been chosen as one of the students for the IRRI (International Rice Research Institute) training in the Philippines under the NAHAP (National Agricultural Higher Education Project) scheme of the AAU (Assam Agricultural University), Jorhat.

Jennifer has already embarked on her journey to the Philippines to undergo the training. The achievement has been widely celebrated by the Amgurighat Yuva Jamat and the Amguri Jama Masjid Committee, who expressed their joy over her success.
