KOKRAJHAR, June 6: Pramod Boro, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), inaugurated the newly installed state-of-the-art Model Blood Centre at the Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital (KMCH) on Thursday.
The inauguration was attended by Assam Cabinet Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma, BTC Legislative Assembly Speaker Katiram Boro, MLA Lawrence Islary, and senior officials of the medical college.
In a related development, Minister Brahma also inaugurated the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at KMCH in the presence of public representatives and hospital officials.
Speaking on the occasion, CEM Pramod Boro said, “It is a proud moment to inaugurate the state-of-the-art Model Blood Centre at Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital today, in the presence of Hon’ble Cabinet Minister Shri Urkhao Gwra Brahma. Equipped with modern infrastructure and advanced technology, this facility will significantly strengthen healthcare delivery in BTR by ensuring timely and safe blood availability, helping save lives in critical situations.”
He further added that this critical addition marks a major boost to advanced healthcare services in the region, ensuring better emergency response and life-saving care for patients in need.
