MORIGAON, Dec 3: The third phase of the Swasthya Sewa Utsav commenced on Tuesday in three constituencies: Jargaon, Bhurbandha, and Laharighat blocks in the district. After the successful completion of the Swasthya Sewa Utsavs for the first and second phases under the dynamic leadership of the chief minister and the Health & Family Welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the district administration, in collaboration with the joint director of Health, Morigaon, and supported by the National Health Mission, Morigaon, aims to make the third phase a grand success.
The three-day program, in conjunction with the celebration of Swasthya Sewa Utsav-3, included a high-level team of commissioners (external evaluators) visiting six hospitals in the district. External evaluator Aruna Rajoria, commissioner & secretary to the government of Assam, Agriculture Department, APC, and chairperson of ARIAS Society, visited Bhurbandha Model Hospital. Additionally, external evaluator Indrani Laskar, joint secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, government of Assam, visited Nakhola Model Hospital and Ahatguri SHC in Morigaon district.
Moreover, external evaluator Dr Satyendra Singh, IFS, additional PCCF & CEO (CAMPA), O/O the PCCF & HOFF, visited Garmari SD for SSU-3. The team was accompanied by joint director of Health Dr Arun Kr Nath, DPM of NHM Jufin Sultana, DFPC Baharul Islam, DME Swapnali Dutta, and DCM Rita Das.
Our Nagaon correspondent adds: The third phase of the Health Service Festival began in Nagaon district on Tuesday.
Along with the rest of the state, the Nagaon district administration inaugurated the festival at the district library premises.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Gunajit Kashyap, district development commissioner; Dr Phani Pathak, joint director of Nagaon District Health Services; Dr Mihir Goswami, principal of Nagaon Medical College and Hospital; and Dr Kavindra Dev Sarma, superintendent of Nagaon Medical College and Hospital.
As part of the Health Service Festival, the health services of 32 hospitals in Nagaon district were evaluated on the first day. The evaluation process involved external evaluators from various parts of the state, including joint secretaries, directors, and senior officials from the district, as well as MPs, MLAs, IAS, IPS officers, and doctors, an official press note added.
