MORIGAON, July 31: A weeklong summer workshop was organised by the Vidyarupa Discovery Kids Pre-School, Morigaon centre, at its school premises in Sankardev Nagar. The summer camp commenced on July 25 and concluded on Wednesday.
The camp was attended by children aged between 2 to 12 years. With the aim of developing learning and skill-building through enriching creativity and productivity, the camp focused on fostering social skills and the development of friendships to support emotional growth and resilience. Activities encouraged physical activity, discipline, and outdoor exploration. The camp aimed to ensure that participants created lifelong memories as a takeaway from the weeklong experience.
During the seven-day workshop, kids learned art and craft, dance, drama, and modelling. There were also fun games and water activities in an artificial mini swimming pool.
On the last day, participating kids showcased what they had learned through a stage performance. The show included a ramp walk and an introduction session in traditional attire, followed by a mini-drama. The drama conveyed a message to promote healthy eating habits among kids, highlighting that junk food is a health hazard and that they should prefer home-cooked food and fruits. The program concluded with two Bollywood dance performances: one freestyle and one lyrical. Each participant was awarded a medal, a certificate, and a memento.
