Chandi Chara, characterized by its natural water bodies and surrounded by dense forest, is a hidden gem of natural beauty. The expansive lake, with its still waters, is an ideal setting for boating, fishing, bird watching, and other water-based recreational activities. The surrounding landscape, lush with greenery and diverse flora and fauna, presents an enchanting experience for eco-tourists and nature enthusiasts alike.

In his letter, the MDC emphasized the substantial benefits that could arise from developing this area into a tourist hub. He highlighted the creation of job opportunities for the local community, ranging from positions in hospitality services to roles in guiding, maintenance, and other supporting sectors. Such development would not only provide employment but also stimulate local businesses, driving economic growth in the region.

Moreover, by focusing on sustainable tourism, the proposed initiative aims to foster a deep appreciation for environmental conservation. The development of eco-friendly infrastructure and the promotion of activities that encourage the enjoyment of nature are seen as pivotal in combating climate change and preserving the region’s pristine beauty for future generations.

Padma Tripura noted that Tripura, with its rich cultural heritage and stunning natural landscapes, has immense potential as a tourist destination. He expressed confidence that with strategic planning and investment, Chandi Chara could become a prime attraction, significantly boosting the state’s tourism profile. The project promises to bring substantial benefits to the region and the state as a whole, enhancing its appeal and drawing more visitors.
