DIPHU, July 7: The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has announced a two-day workers’ meet in Diphu, Karbi Anglong, with the objective of bolstering its presence in the three districts of Assam, namely Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong, and Dima Hasao.
During a press conference at the Sarsing Teron Memorial Town Hall, AGP Executive Committee members Asikur Rehman, Angsuman Dutta, and president of Asom Yuva Parishad, Jitu Borgohain, revealed that the workers’ meet will be attended by AGP president Atul Bora, working president Keshab Mahanta, Rajya Sabha MP Birendra Prasad Baishya, and other prominent party members.
Scheduled to take place on July 9 and 10, the AGP workers’ meet aims to strategise for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The party is determined to strengthen its foothold in the aforementioned districts and make significant progress in the region.
