Demise of dumper driver

NAGAON, May 24: A dumper driver, Abdul Rafik, met a tragic end on Friday in Barhampur after being electrocuted while allegedly involved in illegal mining activities near Chalchali-Jalah village. The incident occurred early in the morning when Rafik’s dumper, bearing registration number AS02CC 7834, accidentally came into contact with a high voltage power line. The locals are urging authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and take immediate legal action to halt illegal mining operations in the area.
