BOKAJAN, Aug 13: Numol Momin, MLA and Deputy Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly, formally distributed forms for the ‘Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme’ here on Monday.
The forms were distributed at Bokajan College and Eastern Karbi Anglong College within the Bokajan Sub-Division.
During a meeting on the occasion, the MLA highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao,’ Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma has launched the ‘Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina Scheme’ for girl students.
The scheme provides Rs 1,000 per month for 10 months to HS girl students, Rs 1,250 per month for 10 months to degree students, and Rs 2,500 per month for 10 months to postgraduate students.
The event was also attended by Bokajan College Principal Sanjay Kumar Singh, Bokajan Block Education Board Chairman Sardili Bey, Bokajan SDO Civil Debahuti Bora, and others.
