Guwahati, Jan 2: In a shocking incident, the body of an unidentified woman was discovered in the Guwahati Club area of the city on Friday, raising several questions. The corpse was found in a garbage dump, leading to the involvement of local law enforcement.
The woman, discovered partially unclothed, was first seen by pedestrians who promptly informed the Latasil Police. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death, which remains unknown at this point.

Earlier the same day, another body was found in Rongdoi, near the Salmara bypass in Assam’s Golaghat district.
The identity of the deceased male is yet to be confirmed. Witnesses reported finding the body on the roadside. The man is suspected to have been killed and abandoned by malefactors. Police have taken the body into custody and initiated an investigation.
