DONGKAMUKAM, June 10: The BJP West Karbi Anglong District Executive Committee convened a key executive meeting on Tuesday at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan in Ghilani, under the presidentship of Radip Ronghang, President of BJP WKADC.
The meeting was graced by Ravindra Raju, Organisational General Secretary of BJP Assam Pradesh, who attended as the chief guest. In his address, Raju urged party workers to prepare strategically for the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections, scheduled for next year.
“Strategic planning is essential for every dedicated party worker,” he emphasized. He highlighted the importance of disseminating information about the government’s development initiatives at the grassroots level, citing the recent launch of Arunodoi 3.0 as a significant example.
Raju lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that under his tenure, India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy. He also criticized the Opposition, referring to them as a “divider party” that continues to stir division, especially in the Northeast’s strategic ‘chicken neck’ region.
The meeting also featured briefings from MP Amarsingh Tisso and MLA Rupsingh Teron, with participation from Deputy Speaker of KAAC Abhijit Kro, EMs Prabhat Ch Taro, Mongolsing Timung, and Rina Terangpi, MAC Pawan Kumar Ray, Headsing Rongphar, Former MP Horensing Bey, as well as several board chairmen and executive committee members.
As part of the day’s activities, a plantation drive was launched within the office premises at Ghilani. Organizers announced that the drive would continue for the next two months. Furthermore, the committee resolved to organize a series of events throughout June, including a vibrant Yoga Day celebration and observance of Balidaan Diwas.
