CEM Pramod Boro lays foundation for key BTR projects

KOKRAJHAR, Dec 2: In a political surge for the UPPL party, more than 1,000 new members from different political parties joined the ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) in Tamulpur district on Sunday in the presence of Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region and UPPL president.

The newly joined members came from Darrangajuli and Tamulpur blocks under the Tamulpur district committee.

CEM Pramod Boro and senior party leaders of the UPPL warmly welcomed and felicitated the newly joined members who had come from various political parties, including the BPF and Congress. He stated that the BTR government and the UPPL party have been rendering relentless services towards the welfare and development of the citizens with dedication since its inception in the BTR. He said the BTR government is committed to working for the all-round development of society and has accordingly initiated many missions and visions to usher in sustainable development in the region.

He mentioned that people from across communities have been attracted to the UPPL party as it is gaining popularity among citizens through its developmental and humanitarian welfare services. Consequently, people are joining the UPPL party in large numbers day by day.

“It is a moment of pleasure to accord a warm welcome to the UPPL family as more than 850 new members from Darrangajuli Block and 168 new members from Dwarkuchi Primary have joined our UPPL family. Together, let us further strengthen BTR’s journey of peace and progress while paving the way for a brighter future for all,” CEM Boro said.

Meanwhile, the CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro, also laid the foundation stones for the construction of various developmental projects under Tamulpur district to augment BTR’s infrastructure in the region.

The foundation stones included the following projects: Tamulpur-Goreswar Road to Hagramari village under Mukhya Mantrir Unnoto Paki Path Nirman Achoni, 2023-24; Rangia Bhutan Road to Batabari (Barkhata) under Mukhya Mantrir Unnoto Paki Path Nirman Achoni, 2023-24; Repair and renovation of the ground floor and construction of the first floor of the Bodoland Guest House; ICBP Road from NH 127D under Dwarkuchi VCDC under SOPD, 2024-25.

CEM Boro also inaugurated the newly constructed RCC Bridge at Boroliapar, the Bishnu Rabha Park at Patharpar, and the Tribal Rest House at Tamulpur LAC.

“Once completed, these projects will go a long way towards empowering the people of BTR,” Boro added.
