DIBRUGARH, Oct 29: A massive fire outbreak on Saturday wreaked havoc, consuming seven houses in eastern Assam’s Dibrugarh, leaving a path of destruction in its wake.
Firefighting teams valiantly battled the fierce inferno for several hours before successfully extinguishing the flames.
Ujjwal Phukan, Vice President of Dibrugarh Municipality, informed reporters, stating, “As of now, we have not received any information regarding casualties. Our current knowledge is limited to the fact that 6-7 houses have been affected by the fire.”
“Reports indicated that two cylinders were involved in the blaze,” he added.
The cause behind this catastrophic fire is currently under investigation.
Upon receiving the distress call, fire brigade units promptly rushed to the site, initiating swift operations to bring the conflagration under control.
Tragically, most of the houses ravaged by the fire belonged to workers of the Dibrugarh Municipal Board (DMB). The incident has left the community in shock and distress.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire as the affected families cope with the aftermath of this devastating event.
