Dibrugarh-bound Avadh Assam Express train engulfs in fire

Bareilly, Nov 13: A fire unexpectedly broke out in the sleeper coach of the 15910 Avadh Assam Express while it was travelling from Lalgarh to Dibrugarh. The incident occurred at the Bareilly Junction on the Northern Railway.

The station master promptly informed the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF), whose swift action averted further disaster. The local police, along with the fire brigade, managed to extinguish the fire.

The Avadh Assam Express was halted at Bareilly Junction for about an hour due to the incident, which subsequently affected the schedules of other trains.
