DIPHU, June 15: In a significant move aimed at bolstering the local economy and improving access to essential goods, the Diphu Municipal Board has officially designated Sunday and Wednesday as weekly market days at Lorulangso Market, Diphu.
The initiative is expected to enhance trading opportunities for local farmers and vendors while also reducing market congestion, thereby benefiting both the producers and the general public.
According to a statement issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), the decision has received the official approval of Rah Kro, Chairman of the Diphu Municipal Board, and comes into immediate effect.
The move is seen as a proactive step toward ensuring regular access to fresh produce and essential commodities, while also providing a structured platform for economic activity in the region.
