BOKAJAN, Nov 16: The police in Karbi Anglong recovered 1.652 kg of heroin worth around Rs 15 crore from a van under Dillai police station on Thursday.

In this connection Mohammad Elias Khan (29) and Mohammad Sirajuddin, both from Manipur were detained. In another success of the police in Karbi Anglong they recovered heroin worth around Rs 90 lakh from a car yesterday evening.
The police was carrying out checking at Lahorijan Patrol Post, under Dillai police station when they intercepted a Swift Dzire car, AS01FN5844, 28 identical plastic cases containing heroin was recovered.
In this connection Habibur Rehman, resident of Mangaldai and Jeherul Ali, resident of Hajo were arrested. The contraband weighs 334 grams.
Further investigation is going on.
