TEZPUR, June 8: The Indian Army’s 27 Rajput Regiment, in collaboration with Aadhunik India Foundation, successfully conducted a 15-day pre-recruitment training program for aspiring candidates from Udalguri, Sonitpur, and Biswanath districts of Assam. The training was held at Amaribari Army Camp from May 26 to June 8, 2025, and focused on preparing youths for recruitment into the Indian Army under the Agniveer scheme.
A total of 43 aspirants, many from tea garden and Adivasi communities, participated in the initiative. The program included intensive physical fitness training such as 5-kilometer runs, yoga sessions, and endurance-building exercises. Additionally, participants were given academic coaching in subjects relevant to the written examination — including mathematics, science, general knowledge, and English — with regular mock tests conducted to monitor their progress.
Beyond physical and academic preparation, trainees were provided with nutritious meals, and detailed sessions were held to familiarize them with the recruitment process.
The closing ceremony was marked by the presence of Army officials, members of Aadhunik India Foundation, and the trainees. Maj Karanjeet Singh, the Guest of Honour, lauded the initiative for opening up new employment avenues and encouraging youth to pursue sports careers in the Army. Chief Guest Lt. Col Vikas Kumar emphasized the importance of consistent preparation and the need for more such initiatives to empower local youth.
Aadhunik India Foundation’s National President DK Chauhan expressed heartfelt thanks to the Indian Army, noting that this program represents the beginning of many such efforts aimed at uplifting underrepresented youth and helping them access meaningful employment.
At the conclusion of the event, participation certificates were awarded to the trainees, and the Army’s 27 Rajput Regiment training team was felicitated by the Foundation for their dedicated efforts.
