NFR extends services of two summer special trains to manage passenger rush

GUWAHATI, May 31: In an effort to accommodate increased passenger demand during the summer season, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has extended the periodicity of two pairs of summer special trains for additional trips in both directions.

The information was shared in an official statement issued by NFR on Saturday.

According to the release, train numbers 07325/07326 (SSS Hubballi Junction – Katihar – SSS Hubballi Junction) and 06559/06560 (SMVT Bengaluru – Narangi – SMVT Bengaluru) will operate for four and five additional round trips, respectively.

The trains will continue to run with their existing schedules, timings, composition, and designated stoppages.

Train No. 07325 will depart from SSS Hubballi Junction at 3:15 PM every Wednesday, from May 28 to June 18, 2025, reaching Katihar at 2:00 PM on the third day.

In the reverse direction, Train No. 07326 will leave Katihar at 2:30 PM every Saturday, from May 31 to June 21, 2025, and arrive at SSS Hubballi Junction at 10:50 AM on the third day.

Meanwhile, Train No 06559 will depart SMVT Bengaluru at 11:40 PM every Tuesday, from May 27 to June 24, 2025, and reach Narangi at 5:00 AM on the fourth day.

The return service, Train No. 06560, will depart Narangi at 5:30 AM every Saturday, from May 31 to June 28, 2025, arriving at SMVT Bengaluru at 9:45 AM on the third day.

NFR has advised passengers to check complete route details, stoppages, and schedules for these trains on the IRCTC website or the official social media platforms of Northeast Frontier Railway before planning their journeys.

The move aims to alleviate the travel rush and ensure smoother passenger movement during the peak summer season.
