DDMA distributes emergency disaster management kits to Aapda Mitras

MORIGAON, June 19:
 In a formal ceremony held at the DC’s conference hall, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) distributed kits to 217 volunteers of AAPDA MITRA who had received training in emergency disaster management. The kits included essential items such as life jackets, torches, safety gloves, pocket knives, first aid kits, gas lighters, whistles, wireless radios, water bottles, rucksacks, mosquito nets, safety goggles, safety helmets, gum boots, and uniforms featuring NDMA and SDMA as well as DDMA logos.

The event was attended by ADC Biman Das, assistant commissioner Pramud Sarma, and DDMO Ranju Sarma, among others. ADC Biman Das encouraged the volunteers to be prepared to face any disaster situation and emphasised the importance of their training. He urged them to promptly engage in rescue operations to save the lives of individuals in danger.
