DIPHU, Feb 7: Adding more colour to the forthcoming 51st Karbi Youth Festival (KYF) to be held from February 15 to 19, the Karbi Rap Society (KRS) is back with its Karbi Rap Star Season – 6 competition. The KRS in collaboration with Karbi Cultural Society and Arnikeme Production has been organising the event.
Announcing the competition the KRS general secretary, Christin Teron (Diphu City Rap) said the audition was set for February 15, 2025, at Pensing Teron Christian Village Playground, Diphu, from 10: 00 am to 3:00 pm.
“The criteria are; the contestants must prepare three songs for the competition, each with a minimum duration of two minutes. They are required to bring their own music tracks. Lyrics must be in Karbi only, and explicit content is strictly prohibited.The competition is open to all tribes,” a PR stated.
Teron further informed that contestants could participate in solo, duet, or in a group form and entries were open to male and female participants.
“The age limit for contestants is from 10 to 45 years. A registration fee of Rs. 500 applies to solo and group participants. Winner will receive a cash prize, trophy, and certificates,” Teron added.
