MORIGAON, Feb 7: The Morigaon district transport officer (DTO) conducted a search operation on Wednesday against the documents of vehicles used in brick kilns. The DTO checked the documents of vehicles used in brick kilns in Neli, Sitajakhla, and other areas of the district. The team, led by district transport officer Arun Bora, visited several brick kilns and inspected the documents of JCBs, dumpers, and other vehicles. Owners of vehicles who have failed to pay vehicle taxes have been directed to settle the taxes as soon as possible. Additionally, the district transport officer has mandated the renewal of expired documents. He warned that legal action will be taken against vehicles and owners without proper documents or those who fail to renew expired documents. He emphasised that raids will be conducted in all brick kilns in the district in the future. Driving a vehicle without valid documents is considered an offense, and people are urged to renew their documents promptly.
