Mrinal Hazarika, a resident of Birubari, Guwahati, who retired from the Irrigation Department, Government of Assam, and was socially active and popular, passed away on Monday, at GMCH, Guwahati. He was 74. He is survived by his wife, one son, one daughter-in-law, one son-in-law, and a host of relatives. His last rites were performed at the Ulubari cremation ground on Monday, in the presence of his family members, relatives, and well-wishers. His demise is widely mourned.
