Workshop on theatre concludes in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, Jan 6: A 20-day workshop on the ‘production oriented theatre’ was concluded on Sunday held at the Bodofa Cultural Complex, Chandamari in Kokrajhar with a closing ceremony.

The event was organised jointly by the department of Cinema & Theatre, government of Bodoland Territorial Region and eight cultural groups.

The event was started on December 11 and held at several eight locations across the BTR districts that showcased diverse theatre performances on its workshop days.

As many as eight plays were performed by participating cultural troupes which was accorded presence of Sanjeev Kumar Brahma, general secretary, Lwrgi Theatre Group, Kokrajhar.

The closing ceremony, was attended by Phami Brahma, CHD, department of cinema and theatre, Govt of BTC, and Buddhiram Basumatary, assistant culture secretary of ABSU, as the guests

The culmination of the event of Production Oriented Theatre Workshop 2024-25 was marked by a grand finale held at Bodofa Cultural Complex, where eight theatre productions by the participants were showcased to a captivated audience.

Each of the participants was given away certificates by the organisers.

The successful completion of the workshop marks a significant milestone in promoting theatre and cultural exchange in the region.
