GUWAHATI, Feb 22: Amid ongoing tensions in Karbi Anglong over encroachments on Village Grazing Reserve (VGR) and Professional Grazing Reserve (PGR), the Karbi Anglong Bhojpuri Samaj (KABS), Diphu has appealed to people not to make provocative comments on social media platforms.
The appeal follows an alleged provocative statement made by Krishna Chauhan on a social media site.
“I humbly request all of you not to make any provocative comments in the form of video, voice messages, or statements on different social media platforms. I condemn the statement made by Krishna Chauhan on Facebook and also warn him to refrain from making such videos, comments, and statements that may disturb the current peaceful situation. I also urge all community members to take initiative in maintaining peace and order in the district,” urged KABS president Sohan Prasad Mahato.
In addition to KABS, numerous Hindi-speaking people have also echoed the same view of not disturbing peace and harmony in the region with their comments.
