DIPHU, June 14: In observance of World Blood Donor Day, the Blood Centre of Diphu Medical College and Hospital (DMC&H) organized a voluntary blood donation camp on Saturday. The event was conducted under the aegis of the Assam State Blood Transfusion Council, Guwahati, with active collaboration from the Assam State Chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India, Diphu, and the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha – East Karbi Anglong District Committee (BJYM-EKADC).

The camp saw an encouraging turnout with over 50 voluntary donors, including members from BJYM, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), and the Association of Surgeons of India, Diphu. The initiative aimed not only to collect blood for patients in need but also to raise awareness about the critical importance of voluntary blood donation in saving lives.

Prominent dignitaries present at the camp included BJP East Karbi Anglong District President Roland Killing and Vice President Robbie Rongpi, who applauded the BJYM team for their commendable dedication.
