GUWAHATI, May 21: CG Corp Global, one of South Asia’s leading multinational conglomerates, has announced its intent to deepen investments in the state of Assam, focusing on the hospitality, tourism, FMCG, and manufacturing sectors.
This announcement follows a meeting between CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Varun Chaudhary, Managing Director of CG Corp Global, where the two discussed the group’s expansion plans and opportunities in the region.
“Assam is fast emerging as a preferred destination for hospitality and F&B. I was pleased to meet Varun Chaudhary and discuss his group’s desire to invest in Assam’s growth story,” said Sarma via social media.
Varun Chaudhary echoed the sentiment, stating, “We are excited about the possibilities Assam offers. With thousands of people already employed by CG Corp Global in Assam—especially through CG Foods and the iconic Wai Wai brand—the state continues to be a vital part of our operations in India and a strategic gateway to the Northeast.”
CG Corp Global has a longstanding relationship with Assam through Wai Wai, one of India’s most loved noodle brands, and is now looking to expand its footprint in the state through new ventures that contribute to job creation, infrastructure, and the regional economy.
With a presence in over 32 countries, CG Corp Global continues to reinforce its commitment to India’s growth and regional development.
