DIPHU, Oct 19: The Regional Coffee Research Station (RCRS) at Six Miles, Diphu-Manja Road, has host an awareness training program on coffee cultivation aimed at encouraging local residents to explore the economic potential of coffee farming. The program will take place on October 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, and 30.
Deputy director Dr Atiqur Rahman Bora announced that individuals interested in learning about coffee cultivation can participate on any of the specified dates. “The training lasts for one day and is free of charge. Each session will run from 2 pm to 5 pm,” he stated.
Each batch will accommodate a maximum of 20 participants, allowing for personalized instruction. Registration can be completed online at rcrsdiphu@gmail.com or in person at the RCRS office.
This initiative aims to equip local farmers with the knowledge and skills necessary to cultivate coffee successfully, promoting agricultural diversity and economic growth in the hill districts of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong.
