MORIGAON, June 18: Extensive preparations are underway for the central celebration of Kala Guru Bishnu Rabha Divas at Jaluguti ME School in Morigaon on June 20.
The event is being organised by the Morigaon Zila Sahitya Sabha in collaboration with the Jaluguti Anchalik Swarna Sakha Sahitya Sabha.
The programme will commence at 8:45 a.m. with the hoisting of the Assam Sahitya Sabha flag by Dr Harmuhan Kalita, President of the Morigaon unit of the Assam Sahitya Sabha.

The celebration will be attended by several dignitaries, including Anwar Hussain, Vice-President of the School Management Committee, and Laksheswar Bardoloi, Vice-President of the Morigaon Zila Sahitya Sabha.
An open meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Dr Harmuhan Kalita.
The meeting will be inaugurated by Jaluguti Secondary School Principal Juna Rani Bhagwati, while the welcome address will be delivered by Mun Thakuria, President of the Jaluguti Swarna Sakha Sahitya Sabha.
Prominent folk culture researcher Lokendra Hazarika will attend the programme as the chief guest. A special felicitation will also be conferred upon renowned Assamese singer JP Das during the event.
