The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a welcome address delivered by Karbi Anglong Deputy Commissioner Nirola Phangchopi. Delivering the keynote address, Dr Pranab Jyoti Baishya, Principal of Government Ayurvedic College, highlighted the increasing significance of yoga in contemporary life and its relevance in achieving physical and mental well-being.
CEM Tuliram Ronghang, while addressing the gathering, underscored the importance of integrating yoga into daily routines to promote health and harmony in society. “We have to develop yoga in Karbi Anglong and appeal to everyone to assist and propagate the benefits of doing yoga to every individual,” Ronghang said.

The 2025 edition will mark ten years of worldwide observance of the ancient Indian practice that seeks to unify the body, mind, and spirit.
According to an official statement, the newly inaugurated Amrit Udyan-cum-Yoga Park will serve as a central hub for wellness activities, public engagement, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle for the people of Diphu and surrounding areas.
